Sage Brush Arts Society has been selected to be a Host Celebration Site for the upcoming Alberta Culture Days, which takes place September 29 – October 1, 2017. While Alberta Culture Days officially takes place over the weekend, Brooks and the surrounding areas typically spend all week celebrating arts and culture.
Alberta Culture Days is Alberta’s largest celebration of our artistic sector, heritage, cultural diversity and provincial pride. Alberta Culture Days began in 2008 as Alberta Arts Day, a one-day event to recognize the value of Alberta's arts and cultural communities. Since then, it has expanded into a vibrant, three-day, province wide celebration that has helped inspire the creation of Culture Days, a pan-Canadian movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.
City of Brooks and County of Newell residents will have a wide range of arts and cultural experiences to enjoy during this week. All residents and their families are encouraged to attend and embrace the different cultural and artistic attributes that our community has to offer. The City of Brooks is proud to host our annual Taste of Nations event this at the JBS Canada Centre Fieldhouse on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm. This year will be the largest event to date, as additional vendors are being sought for our new, larger location!
