Street Sweeping 2018

Brooks - The City of Brooks will begin street sweeping on Monday, May 7 (weather permitting), and will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday, until the program is completed.

Residents are asked to help us make a clean sweep by ensuring all vehicles are moved off the street by 8 a.m. on the scheduled days for their neighbourhood. Signs will be placed on streets. As every resident may not have a dedicated place to park, residents are permitted to park on their front lawn or in boulevards or alleys, during the week of street sweeping ONLY.

Things to Remember:

  • Park somewhere other than the street to be swept.
  • Please remind your neighbours; offer to help move their vehicle or knock on doors.
  • When parking in alleys please be sure not to obstruct garbage trucks from working.

The City of Brooks appreciates the cooperation of our residents to ensure that the 2018 Street Sweeping Program is successful and goes smoothly. Street sweeping is important for all residents’ safety and for the environment. Street sweeping removes winter debris and prevents it from entering the storm drains, keeping the waterways cleaner.
