Function and Duties:

To determine future direction and development of recreational facilities, park facilities, recreational programming, cultural events and programs.

Term of Office:

Members of Council - a one-year term.
Citizens-At-Large appointed to the Board may serve a maximum of three consecutive two-year terms.

Members and Staff:

Seven public members appointed by City Council;
Two City Council members;
Two County Councillors; and,
One representative from Grasslands Regional Division #6.

Staff include:

Manager, Recreation & Facility Services
Supervisor, Recreation Services
Supervisor, Parks Services
Recreation Administrative Assistant

Meeting Times:

The Recreation Board meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Don Bruce Board Room at the Centennial Regional Arena.  Please contact Michelle Gibson at 362-0135.
