The following is a brief explanation on the City's main departments.  For more information on services provided under the different departments, select a category from the left sidebar menu.

Finance, Administration and Legislative Services

The Finance, Administration and Shared Services departments, which operate out of City Hall, are responsible for delivering financial services to the public and Council as well as ensuring bylaws, policies and information technology strategies are up-to-date and includes administrative services for council. These departments also include the Communications, Inclusion, Records Management and Municipal Enforcement portfolios.

Engineering, Development and Planning Services

The Development, Planning, GIS, and Engineering departments are responsible for transportation planning, water and sewer infrastructure, design, mapping and construction management.

Fire Department

The Brooks Fire Department is responsible for community safety through the Brooks Fire Department, fire inspections and investigations, fire prevention and Disaster Services Planning.

Recreation Services

The Lakeside Leisure Centre is a state of the art facility with painted murals depicting our surrounding area, a wave pool, lazy river, water slide and lane pool.  The Centre also includes a gym where you can workout overlooking the pool area, an open gym space, one ice surface and various meeting rooms.

Public Works and Parks

The Public Works, Utilities and Parks departments are responsible for water and waste water infrastructure, waste management, maintenance and operations of community parks which includes linear path networks, ball diamonds, tennis courts, playgrounds, water park, pesticides programs, mosquito control and composting program.
