This page gives you information about the City of Brooks Property Taxes including how they are charged, how a property's assessment is determined, and how you can pay your taxes.

PROPERTY TAXATION

Each year, Council establishes a Rate of Taxation, based on assessed values, sufficient to pay for those expenditures that are not recovered from other revenue sources.

The Finance Department is responsible for the maintenance of over 5,000 different parcels within the City boundaries. Not only do they generate annual and supplementary tax assessments, but also surface irrigation levies, maintain the Tax Installment Payment Plan, inventory City-owned properties, provide timely response to assessment complaints and ensure compliance to tax recovery procedures.
