Signage, Too Much of a Good Thing? Print

What is your your opinion on City signage. Signage is a complicated problem because it is difficult to determine what is an acceptable amount of signage along our streets. Without any signage, finding key landmarks such as the Lakeside Leisure Centre or the Brooks & District Museum may be challenging for tourist. However without any restrictions, signage becomes so popular that it overcrowds our streets, creating redundancy and even worse  distracting drivers, creating a liability for us all. What should and should not be allowed to be posted?
