Evergreen Park

The community park is a green-space park with large grass lawns, rock and flower gardens surrounded by trees and recreation pathway. Decorating the lawns and enjoying the shade under the trees are day use picnic tables. For small picnic groups there is a day use shelter in the park.

For larger groups there is a 1911 Alberta Heritage House called the CPR Engineer's House which is a available for events, meetings, festivals, weddings and workshops.

From one end of the park - traveling in an east -west direction - is a paved recreation path. There are information boards in the park , as well as, some sitting benches located along the pathway. The path in Evergreen park continues and connects to other parks - the West End Park and Pleasant Park. Combine the parks and the walkway makes for an excellent loop route for recreational activities.

Some of the activities enjoyed on the walkway include walking, biking, on leash dog walking, jogging and rollerblading.
