The Screening Process

We screen on the basis of the qualifications listed in the job posting. This screening includes a review of the applicant's:

  • Education
  • Experience
  • Skills

Applicants who best meet the requirements will be offered an interview.

The Interview Process

You've applied for the job and someone from the City's Human Resources Department has Cntacted you to schedule the next steps:

  • An interview by a panel made up of the hiring manager and/or supervisor, and a member of the Human Resources Department
  • To be asked a variety of questions regarding past work experience, education, and some job-specific questions
  • You may also be asked to respond to scenario questions
  • If anything extra is required, we will give you the information you need to prepare when we call to set up your interview

How to Prepare for the Interview

The job posting has a great list of skills and knowledge required for the position. Use this list to think about experiences you've had in the past that relate to the requested skills and knowledge. Our careers page will also encompass lots of information about who we are. Please take the time to get to know us.

What Happens Next

We take hiring very seriously and make a consensus-based decision. As a result, it can take up to two weeks for us to make our decision and track down references. Thank you for your patience! Human Resources will contact you when the decision has been made.
