The intent of the Community Benefit Grant Program is to provide funding to eligible organizations for projects, events, or initiatives that improve environmental quality, reduce environmental degradation, or increase community awareness of environmental issues. Grant funding provided can be any amount between $100 and $5,000 for 2023; and $100 and $10,000 for every year thereafter.
Funding applications may be made for projects within the Brooks Newell Region, which includes the City of Brooks, Town of Bassano, Villages of Duchess and Rosemary, Siksika Nation, and the County of Newell (Bow City, Cassils, Gem, Lake Newell Resort, Millicent, Patricia, Rainer, Rolling Hills, Scandia and Tilley). To qualify for funding, projects, events, or initiatives must comply with the guidelines.

Applicants provided financial support in an amount of $1,000 or greater must provide a report on the project within 18 months from the Application Approval Date.
