Residential Street Sweeping

Street Sweeping

The City of Brooks will begin residential street sweeping on Tuesday, April 6 (weather permitting). Sweeping will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, until the program is completed.
Please watch for changes to the City’s Street Sweeping Program as new signs will be placed on the sidewalks of the streets notifying residents when their street will be swept. All vehicles should be moved off of the street by 8 a.m. on the scheduled days of your neighborhood. As every residence may not have a dedicated place to park off of the street, residents are permitted to park on their front lawn, boulevard or in their alley only while street sweeping is taking place.
Things to remember:
- The program will take several weeks to complete.
- Sweepers will only going through residential areas once, so it’s imperative vehicles are moved from the street.
- Park somewhere other than the street being swept.
- When parking in alleys, please be sure not to obstruct garbage and yard waste collection trucks from working.
The City of Brooks appreciates the cooperation of our residents to ensure that the 2021 Residential Street Sweeping Program is successful.
