Summer Swimming Lessons Transition Details + Registration

Summer Swimming Lessons

In January 2022, the Red Cross announced they will no longer be providing aquatics programming as part of their services. As a result, all swimming pools and aquatic centres that offer Red cross programming will transition to programming through the Life Saving Society (LSS). The EID Aquatic Centre will be one of many pools across the country making the transition this year.

Staff have been working with the Red Cross and LSS to learn how the programs will transfer from one program to the other and are ready to make the transition for the summer swim session starting in July. Program content is comparable and participants in these swim programs will still gain important water safety knowledge and learn proper swim techniques.

Registration for the summer swim session opens at 10am on Wednesday, June 15th.  You can register online at www.rec.brooks.ca or by calling the JBS Canada Centre at 403-362-3622. If you are registering online, please ensure your online account is set up – if you need assistance setting up an online account, please call the number above.

Pricing and schedule can be found by clicking here.

If you have any questions, want more information about LSS programs, or need assistance in determining which LSS Swimmer level your child should be registered in, you can click here or call the front desk of the JBS Canada Centre (403-362-3622) and staff will be happy to help answer any questions you have.
