The City of Brooks will be completing a city-wide Large Item Pick-Up for residential properties starting Monday, April 27. This program allows residents to set out large items for collection at no additional cost.
This program is for residential properties only. Commercial and industrial properties are not included.
Please review the information below carefully. Following these guidelines helps crews complete pick-up efficiently and safely.
Pick-Up Start Date
- Monday, April 27
- Items must be placed out by 7:00 am on April 27
Crews will begin collection at 7:00 am and continue until all areas are completed
Where to Place Your Items
Placement depends on whether your residential property has alley access.
- Properties with an alley
- Place items in the alley for pick-up.
- Properties without an alley
- Place items at the front of the property for pick-up.
Large Item Pick-Up follows a different collection process than regular waste collection.
Please ensure:
- Items are placed neatly in a single pile where possible
- Clearance is left around garbage carts, utility equipment, fences, and structures
- Items do not block sidewalks, roadways, or access points
- If placing items near regular garbage collection areas, allow enough space for waste carts to be safely accessed
Important Reminders
- Crews will not return to areas once they have been completed
- Items placed out late or placed incorrectly may not be picked up
- Any items that are not collected must be removed by the property owner promptly. Failure to do so may result in enforcement action being taken.
