Operations for the City of Brooks Access Transit commenced on August 4, 2015. The Handibus service was previously provided by Newell Community Action Group (NCAG).
The service operates within the city limits and focuses on seniors and those with cognitive and physical disabilities as well as anyone in the community that will require the service with short-term disabilities. The cost to utilize the Access Transit is $4 per one-way trip.
For those wanting to utilize the service, it is preferred, when possible, to call 72 hours prior to scheduling a pick-up. For more information about the Access Transit or to utilize the service, please call 403-362-6190.
